November 2007 Makita - Official Press Release.
Makita Polisher Shines for Miracle Detail
Probably the most expensive carwash in the world. This full paint and trim detailing service can cost nearly £5000! The heart of the operation is a Makita 9227CB 180mm polisher.
Founded in 2002 and still exclusively operated only by Paul, who is obsessive about quality, Miracle Detail has a number of alternative processes that attend to paintwork defects and blemishes as well as the high gloss polishing that really makes a high class car shine.
Paul's ultimate Pinnacle Miracle Detail service has 61 different stages including paint correction and takes an incredible 64 hours of Paul's expert time. At least four layers of ****** White Camauba wax are applied and shone to perfection by the Makita 9227CB polisher.
The Makita 9227CB polisher has a 180mm diameter fibre disc to carry wool polishing mops, and hook and loop fixing for use with abrasive papers as a sander. Powered by a 1,200watt motor, available in 100v or 240volt modes, this comfortable 3kg polisher runs up to 3000rpm with a variable speed trigger control and has a useful dial speed control for fixed speed settings between 600 and 3000rpm.
"I have used this Makita polisher since I started the service and it is the very available. It's totally reliable and the very best thing is the precisely accurate speed control which is essential to get the best out of these special waxes. If the polisher rubs too fast it can thin the wax and ruin the finish. With Makita I know I'm safe with the speed, it's an essential part of my service," says Paul.
